Gothic Harvest, directed by Ashley Hamilton and written by Chris Kobin, has a brand new trailer and release date which will see it on digital platforms in time for Halloween.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of New Orleans, the film spins the tale of four co-eds out to enjoy the sights and sounds of Mardi Gras. When one of their group goes missing after leaving a bar with a handsome stranger, however, they soon find themselves in a race against time that will pit them against one of the city’s oldest families who just happen to be living under the shadow of a deadly curse.

The film features genre icons Lin Shaye (Insidious) and Bill Moseley (The Devils Rejects), both of whom worked with Kobin onĀ 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams when Moseley took over the role that Robert Englund (A Nightmare on Elm Street) played in the previous film.

The film also stars Tanyell Waivers (Ma), Sofia Mattson (Jurassic City), Abbie Gayle (Preacher), Ashton Leigh (Demonic), and Thomas Francis Murphy (The Walking Dead).

This is Hamilton’s first outing as a director, he’s one lucky guy to have nabbed both Shaye and Moseley for his debut. He has previously worked as an actor in films like Iron Man 3.

Gothic Harvest is set for release on digital platforms on October 15, 2019 with a DVD release to follow on November 5, 2019 according to Collider.
