Sylvester Stallone Joins James Gunn’s ‘The Suicide Squad’

by Trey Hilburn III

80’s action hero and beyond, Sylvester Stallone has just confirmed that he is indeed going to join the cast of James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad. The tremendous action star, isn’t a stranger to comic book roles. He played Judge Dredd, he was in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 and now he is going big with DC and The Suicide Squad.

Stallone’s Instagram post read “No rest for the weary but what I do is so enjoyable I don’t even call at work it’s a gift.” The message was paired with a video in which Stallone announced that he was on his way to work with James Gunn on The Suicide Squad. Of course, Sly couldn’t say anything outside of that, but that alone will do as far as creating a heck load of anticipation for Gunn’s Squad.

I’m hoping that Stallone’s role is a large one. It would be great to see him spend more time on screen than he did in his small Guardians of the Galaxy cameo.

Stallone seemed like he was really excited about the project and the opportunity to be working with James Gunn and now we can’t freaking wait.

What do you guys think? Ready for Stallone to join The Suicide Squad? Any ideas who he might be playing? Let us know in the comments section.
