The SYFY series titled Chucky is in the works from original creator, Don Mancini and Channel Zero creator Nick Antosca. The series will explore the roots of Chucky and will also bring back Jennifer Tilly.
The synopsis for the Chucky goes like this:
“After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies — and allies — from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.”
There is little known about how this reboot is going to work and how much it will apply to the past films from Mancini. We are hopeful that it is still all connected. Tilly coming back onto the scene is a great step in that direction.
Tilly spoke to Page Six and spilled the beans and saying “A little bird told me that I am going to be a part of it.”
We are already dying to see what Mancini comes up with for SYFY. Filming for Chucky begins this summer.
What do guys think? Excited about the SYFY series? Happy to see that Tilly is going to be part of it? Let us know in the comments section.
Chucky Cosplayers Descend on Alamo Drafthouse for ‘Child’s Play’ Screening
Time to play, you guys! A group of Buddi dolls showed up to Alamo Drafthouse in Austin with a serious (almost murderous) need to see the new Child’s Play film.
These Chucky cosplayers (if you look closely, I’m there) attended an advance screening of Lars Klevberg’s re-imagining of the OG ’88 film while dressed in full on Chucky attire.
