Amazon Studios has set a date for the highly anticipated Suspiria remake. After a brutally contorted clip made headlines and inflamed twitter last month, anticipation grows as we creep closer to the now official release date. Along with this fall debut announcement, the studio has also released first looks of Dakota Johnson as Susie Bannion.
Attendants at CinemCon were first treated to a clip from the film that had audience members shocked. Amazon then released a teaser poster, which we reported about along with responses from people who viewed the exclusive scene.
We now have official word from the studio of a November 2 release date, which gives us just enough time to watch it so we can all talk about it over a plate of Thanksgiving dinner.

Unlike the bloody dance number, these images showcase Johnson as the starring role at the dance academy. Bannion is a sweet, innocent, character who is very similar in terms of what Johnson has done in the past. The look is aesthetically different from what is expected, but somehow still seems to emotionally encompass shades true to Dario Argento’s original twisted fairytale.
With so much information being released about this reboot, we can anticipate a trailer for this film any minute now. Make sure to check in periodically for all things Suspiria.
Do you think Johnson will do the role justice? Will you be catching the Suspiria this fall? Sound off on comments.
