Good news, Mind Flayer hunters. Stranger Things Season 4 is headed our way next year. With a renewal for a fourth season only being announced in the later half of September, news is slowly starting to come out of the upside down.

The fourth season of Stranger Things will consist of a grand total of 8 episodes. This news according to an announcement from This places it on the same episode count as seasons 1 and 3.

Season 2 launched with a total of 9 episodes, and its safe to assume that since season 2 was met with the lowest popularity out of all seasons, they are sticking to the formula count that works.

Stranger Things should start filming in January of 2020 and could have a release date placed in a Halloweenish time frame for 2020 as well.

There are still no details about the direction that Season 4 will be going plot wise other than the teaser trailer released in Sept. that simply stated ‘We’re not in Hawkins Anymore.’

Season three was easily my favorite of the bunch. So, I hope that creators, The Duffer Bros. are able to bring that same nostalgic blast of goodness back again.
