From Russia with love, indeed. This short trailer ends a lot of speculation about the fate of a certain adored Stranger Things character.
Well, that’s it Hopper is back. I’m not sure how he survived, but here he is. I’m also digging the very Red Scare approach that this season of Stranger Things is apparently taking. Kinda Red Dawn-ish.
“We’re excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway — and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper! Although it’s not all good news for our “American”; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other. Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything….” Creators, The Duffer Bros. wrote.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I do love Hopper. Here is my issue though. When you bring people back from the dead like Game of Thrones or The Avengers did, then all stakes are lost or at least lowered. I’m kinda hoping that the guy we see here is a clone, or some other sci-fi explanation. Simply bringing him back or saying he teleported is just kinda… lazy. At least for me. I mean, what’s to say Barb isn’t sipping drinks down in Bermuda based on this logic?
What do you guys think? Excited for Hopper’s return? Let us know in the comments section.
