"The Dark Tower" Stephen King

With its fate up in the air after the less-than-stellar 2017 film, The Dark Tower TV show is now being developed at Amazon according to Deadline.

The show was originally planned to be a tie-in to the 2017 film but in a September interview with Vulture, King stated: “It would be like a complete reboot.”

This news is a bit more settling to fans of King’s seven-book series since the 2017 film worked as more of a continuation of his work than a film adaption of the novels. It should go without saying that a television adaptation seems to be a more fitting medium for a seven-book series than a two-hour film.

The series crew looks promising so far with some pretty big names signed on, including Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead) as showrunner and Ron Howard as an executive producer.
