Stephen King is returning to the big screen! Deadline is reporting Screen Media Films has acquired the US rights to Stephen King’s A Good Marriage, based on a short story from his novella collection, “Full Dark, No Stars.” Anthony LaPaglia and Academy Award Nominee Joan Allen star as married couple Bob and Darcy Anderson.

After finding gruesome and sadistic images in her husband’s belongings, Darcy discovers he has been leading a double life during the course of their 25 year marriage.

King stated, “I’m delighted that A Good Marriage is going to be available to the movie going public very soon, and hope we can scare the hell out of millions of people. To me, that’s always an exciting prospect.”

Directed by Peter Askin from a screenplay by King, Screen Media plans to release the indie flick theatrically and on VOD sometime in October.

The second Season Premiere of Stephen King’s Under the Dome – written by King – airs Monday, June 30th at 10 pm on CBS!  Check out a sneak peek below…
