As a long time Stephen King fan it’s been awesome to see so many easter eggs in Hulu’s original Castle Rock series. But at the same time, I’ve heard many people question whether or not they’d enjoy the series because they’ve never read any of King’s work.

Don’t worry, it doesn’t matter. As we viewers have seen, Castle Rock is good enough as it is. Stephen King confirmed this much in a Tweet last night.

From his Twitter account:

He continued:

If you’re out of the loop, Castle Rock is not actually a Stephen King story but a story set within his universe featuring some locations and characters from his books. So once again: stop worrying and just watch it!

The fourth episode premiered today with new installments every Wednesday.

The show is:

“A psychological-horror series set in the Stephen King multiverse, Castle Rock is an original story that combines the mythological scale and intimate character storytelling of King’s best-loved works, weaving an epic saga of darkness and light, played out on a few square miles of Maine woodland.”

It stars Andre Holland, Melanie Lynskey, Sissy Spacek, Scott Glenn, and Bill Skarsgard.
