There’s no better way to celebrate the start of the Halloween season than by sucking down one of Starbucks’ trademark Pumpkin Spice Lattes, which have become so popular that it almost doesn’t truly feel like Halloween until they arrive. And this year, they’re not just back… they’re better than ever.

In an announcement over on the Starbucks blog, the company made note of the fact that this year’s PSLs will include REAL PUMPKIN on the ingredients list, which is a direct response to criticism leveled against them last year. Artificial flavoring was previously used to depict the Autumnal flavors.

PSL

After hearing from customers and partners about ingredients, we took another look at this beverage and why we created it so many years ago,” wrote Peter Dukes. “It was simple – espresso, perfectly steamed milk, warm fall spices with delicious flavor of pumpkin pie that reminds you of the cool, crisp days of autumn. So, with that great taste you know and love, the PSL returns this fall, and this time it will be made with real pumpkin and without caramel coloring.”

The Pumpkin Spice Latte is expected to make its grand return on September 8th, which is about a week later than its arrival last year. But you can take comfort in knowing that the wait is well worth it this year, and in the meantime you’ll find the brand new ingredients list below. Hooray for real pumpkins!

**If pumpkin spice isn’t your thing, why not try Starbucks’ spooky Franken Frappucino!**
