If you happened to see those horribly misleading headlines announcing that Spirit Halloween stores planned on not opening this Halloween, you were duped. The popular Halloween chain Tweeted today to let fans know that they are going are going to be open this season after all.
Spirit Halloween Tweeted:
We heard you’re crushed. Well, don’t worry, the rumors aren’t true. WE ARE BACK & WE GOT THIS COVERED. We are safely preparing the best in-store experience possible & can’t wait to welcome you back at our 1,400 locations. Come early & help make this year the #BestHalloweenEver
Of course this is good news, if not possibly short-lived.
The chances of things being “normal” enough to have a regular old Halloween this year seems… unlikely. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m out here with the rest of you praying to Cthulhu that things do go back to normal in time for the spooky season, but I’m not going to hold my breath.
At the very least, Spirit Halloween seems confident, and we love that. But, I can’t help the feeling that we are all going to be doing some form of Zoom trick-r-treating and virtual horror movie marathoning.
What do you guys think? Excited to hear Spirit Halloween’s announcement? Are you planning on going out this year or will you be staying in? Let us know in the comments section.
