Located in South Pasadena, California, the house that served as Michael Myers’ childhood home in John Carpenter’s Halloween is one of the most iconic structures in horror movie history, and a popular ‘bucket list’ destination for horror fans the world over. But it’s not the only Myers house you can visit.
Halloween super-fan Kenny Caperton took it upon himself several years back to a build a life-size replica of the house in his hometown of Hillsborough, North Carolina, and it’s where he currently lives with his wife and two cats. This Halloween night, he’s opening his doors and letting us all inside.
The 7th annual Halloween Bash runs from 6:30pm to midnight on Halloween, and the event is both free and open to the public – no RSVP necessary. As if just hanging out in the Myers house wasn’t cool enough, Caperton is serving up food and playing host to a pumpkin carving contest.
But that’s not all.
Beginning at 7:45pm, both The Mutilator and Halloween 3: Season of the Witch will be projected onto a giant movie screen in the front yard, and the writer/director of the former, Buddy Cooper, will be on hand to sign autographs. He’ll be joined by Edmund Ferrell, who handled the film’s makeup effects.
