Slaxx, the new horror-comedy about a possessed pair of superbly fashionable jeans that go on a murderous rampage (coming to Shudder March 18), has provided iHorror with an exclusive new clip to stoke your fires of curiosity.
In the film, a group of seasoned staff (with some innocent new hires) are put on lockdown to prepare for the launch of a clothing company’s brand spankin new line of Super Shaper jeans. Now, they mean total lockdown. No cell service, no outside phone lines, all doors locked on a timer system, the whole nine yards. Basically, it’s a recipe for disaster that anyone who’s ever seen a horror movie could have warned them about. But we can’t! We just get to sit back and enjoy the carnage.
In this exclusive new clip for Slaxx, one of the staff has — against all the very strict rules — put on a pair of the Super Shaper jeans, and soon finds herself feeling very uncomfortable. Squeezing tighter and tighter, these possessed pants are making their presence known.
The clip also demonstrates the generally awful attitude that the senior staff have (which you can read more about in our full review). It’s a brief introduction to the world of CCC (Canadian Cotton Clothiers) but you can get a pretty distinct sense of the corporate culture.
From the producers of Canadian genre hit Turbo Kid, Slaxx is directed by Elza Kephart and co-written by Kephart and Patricia Gomez, starring Romane Denis (Slut in a Good Way), Brett Donahue (Private Eyes), Sehar Bhojani (The Handmaid’s Tale) and Stephen Bogaert (The Umbrella Academy).
You can catch it on Shudder on March 18 in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, and will be available in Canada on March 23 on Google, iTunes, and Amazon Prime. You can check out the trailer here.
