Halloween Makeup How To:

While British actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will always be known best for their work in comedy, one film of theirs tends to be held near and dear to the hearts of most horror fans: Shaun the Dead. The world’s first “rom-zom-com,” Shaun took the world by storm in 2004.

There have been many zombie comedies released over the years, but Shaun might just be the funniest, although The Return of the Living Dead can certainly stake a claim to that title as well. In addition to being hilarious, Shaun of the Dead is also just a really good horror film.

Pegg has of course gone on to Hollywood stardom in huge franchises like Star Trek and Mission: Impossible, and also reunited with Frost and Shaun director Edgar Wright for the action/comedy Hot Fuzz and the sci-fi/comedy The World’s End.

Simon Pegg and Michael Sheen in Slaughterhouse Rulez

Now, Pegg and Frost are headed back to horror/comedy with the new film Slaughterhouse Rulez, which centers on a posh British boarding school that’s attacked by a subterranean monster. Said monster was awakened by an accident at a nearby fracking site.

Pegg and Frost also produced Slaughterhouse Rulez, and star alongside Finn Cole, Michael Sheen, Asa Butterfield, and Hermione Corfield. Check out the trailer below, and hope that Sony finally sees fit to assign this movie a U.S. release date. It hits the U.K. on Halloween.
