Horror fans managed to accidentally crash video entertainment company Shout! Factory’s site on Monday in hopes of pre-ordering the highly anticipated Region A Friday the 13th Deluxe Edition Blu-Ray boxed set.

The special “1,313 poster /litho” set is being sold through the company’s Scream Factory horror brand and offers 16-discs in all which include the original movie, its sequels, and the 2009 remake.

The retail price is $159.99.

Scream Factory made the announcement on their social media page yesterday:

“We’re honored and beyond excited to have the chance to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the original 1980 classic in a big way. And rest assured, we will do our absolute best to make this the most definitive release ever of this iconic franchise. We genuinely love it just as much as you!”

Apparently fans love the series even more than Scream Factory expected because the response was so overwhelming their site couldn’t handle the traffic. Moreover, the DVD distributor added an extra 7,000 special litho/poster sets to appease demand.

Scream Factory unloaded a bunch of good news to fans this month. They announced Blu-Ray editions of Orca, the 80’s compilation classic Terror in the Aisles, Motel Hell, Thir13en Ghosts (2001), and Pumpkinhead.
