Monstrum is the directorial debut of Anthony Pernicka. Anthony also helms iHorror as our CEO, and most recently has added Movie Producer to his name as reported by Deadline.
Monstrum will show in select festivals this October with a street release date of Jan 2019.
“I’ve always been interested in producing or directing film. Having this experience of shooting my first short film was a huge moment in my life… not because of this being the best short film… but because it really let me see all the moving parts, the hard work, the sweat, and some times blood (just a little) that goes into making a movie.” Anthony continued, “As I go on to produce larger projects I now understand – from hands on experience – what to focus on and what to have your team focus on for you. A great team is essential. Thankfully, I had some of the best helping me on this project.”
Monstrum, admittedly by the Director, is not a revolutionary story. “I made this short film for the real horror fans that follow iHorror. Just watching it you may think… ok i’ve seen something like this before. However, the real fans will appreciate the hidden gems and messages that will fly right over non horror fan’s heads.”
