Around this time last year, we shared with you five Halloween-themed short films guaranteed to get you in the spirit of the season, and we encourage you to go back and give those a watch before the big day. From the animated short that became Trick ‘r Treat to a faux deleted scene from John Carpenter’s Halloween, a whole lot of holiday joy lies within that link.
On tap for you today is a 10-minute short that fits right alongside the other films on that list, one that takes you into a post-apocalyptic wasteland for THE LAST HALLOWEEN…
Directed by Canadian filmmaker Marc Roussel, The Last Halloween centers on four young trick or treaters going from house to house on Halloween night, in search of treats. Only, the world they inhabit isn’t quite like our own. When they knock on the door of what appears to be the one house they’re better off staying away from, Halloween Hell breaks loose.
Feeling like a lost segment from Michael Dougherty’s Trick ‘r Treat, The Last Halloween is rich with seasonal atmosphere and loaded with Halloween delight. Check it out below, and let us know what ya think!
