You guys! This one had me at Shaquille O’Neal takes on demons. I mean seriously, this is a call-back to so many kinds of schlock ‘sploitations’ we don’t even have time to list here. Bottom line is Shaq is back in video game form to take on hordes of Hollywood demons with the use of deadly martial arts, and we are too on board.

Synopsis goes like this:

Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn is an action-packed beat ‘em up starring the one and only Big Diesel himself: Shaquille O’Neal. Battle the hordes of Hollywood and hell on a one-man journey to avenge your fallen home and martial arts master. Beat down foes with devastating combos, face off against outlandish celebrity bosses, and unleash your fury with a variety of hard-hitting weapons and power-ups.

This is a long overdue follow-up to 1994’s Shaq Fu for Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis and boils down to the same sort of platforming martial arts action.

This has pretty much brightened the heck out of our day. But what do you guys think? Are you prepared to enter the fu? Ready for more Shaq Fu shenanigans? Get your eyeballs on the trailer and tell us what you think.

Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn drops June 5 for PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
