Well, you guys. It’s time to prepare yourselves to die a bunch. From Software (creators of Dark Souls and Bloodborne) unveiled their latest at E3 2018 with a very rad look at their upcoming title, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.

Fans of From Software know the setup, these games are meant to punish you and meant to make you benefit (and rage scream into pillows) from dying over and over again. Sekiro doesn’t play out too differently in the mechanics we are used to, but it does pull from all kinds of ancient Japanese culture to create a really cool looking aesthetic, while creating a super badass protagonist.

Sounds like it’s going to be a mix of elements of the Souls games, as well as some elements from Tenchu, an older IP out of From Software.

Sekiro, roughly translated to “one-armed wolf,” is a semi open world experience very close to the interconnected environments of the first Dark Souls.

It looks to be filled with all kinds of badass sword-play and a rad grappling arm to-boot.

What do you think, Dark Souls fans? You ready to dive sword first into another challenging permadeath experience with Sekiro?
