One of the games that jumped out at us at Xbox’s showcase earlier in the year was the game from Ebb Software titled Scorn. The first person shooter, looked like a gorgeous nightmare, that easily stood apart from the pack of the other games being shown.
First and foremost this game looks like it came right out of legendary artist, H.R. Giger’s mind. It lives and breathes in the same realm that his art did. Ebb Software is undoubtedly fans of Giger and it is the meat and potatoes of this game.
This 14 minute footage is taken from actual gameplay. It is breathtaking for a variety of reasons. But, namely for what it does organically with Giger’s worlds.
All of the Scorn footage shown is being run on the Xbox One Series X.
“The entire environment and every encounter within it are designed to tell a specific story and draw you into the world of Scorn. Initially indifferent to your humanoid presence in the sticky, organic passages they inhabit, the creatures you meet quickly turn hostile if crossed.” the provided press release states.
Scorn is coming to Xbox One Series X and PC in 2021.
