Scoob

There’s a brand new animated feature headed our way next year that will take us back to the moment where Scooby met Shaggy! It’s called Scoob and we’re feeling all nostalgic just watching the trailer.

Not only will we see the famed duo meet for the first time, but we’ll also be treated to an origin story for Mystery, Inc. with Fred, Daphne, and Velma.

According to IMDb, the film’s synopsis goes a little something like this: The story takes us back to where it all began, when a young Scooby and Shaggy first meet, and team up with Daphne, Velma and Fred to launch Mystery Incorporated. Now, Scooby and the gang face their most challenging mystery ever: a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world. As they race to stop this dogpocalypse, the gang discovers that Scooby has an epic destiny greater than anyone imagined.

The cast for the film includes a lot of heavy hitters with Zac Efron (Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile) as Fred, Amanda Seyfried (Red Riding Hood) as Daphne, Gina Rodriguez (Annihilation) as Velma, and Will Forte (MacGruber) as Shaggy.

Legendary voice actor Frank Welker (The Transformers: The Movie) will voice Scooby Doo, a role he performed in multiple iterations of the series. He’s also the man who first brought Fred to life, performing the character’s voice back in 1969 for Scooby Doo, Where Are You?.

Warner Brothers is set to release Scoob on May 15, 2020. Check out the trailer below and mark your calendars!
