David Cronenberg’s Scanners is perhaps not only one of the best sci-fi/horror flicks, but manages to throw in some alarming social satire along with top notch, gory special effects. It’s a film that begs the question why hasn’t it been remastered and put on Blu-ray? Well, finally, it was announced that Scanners will be coming to DVD and Blu-ray from the Criterion Collection on July 15th!
