Say whatever you want about Ryan Murphy, the man has his own way of doing things and he does them with style. Take for instance this morning on Instagram when he super casually announced that Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters will be returning to American Horror Story for season 10.
Oh sure, he could have just posted a picture, but that’s not Murphy’s way. Instead, he dropped a video of a bleak beach landscape as the waves crash to shore with a list of names that slowly appear, then fade from view while Orville Peck’s “Dead of Night” plays.

Paulson and Peters are both on the list of names, but so is Kathy Bates who will also return after taking a season off from the show. And we don’t know if you noticed, but Macaulay Culkin (Party Monster) is down to make his American Horror Story debut, as well!
The season will also feature American Horror Story regulars Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Lily Rabe, and Finn Wittrock as well as Anjelica Ross (Pose) who made her debut on the series in season nine AKA American Horror Story: 1984.
We still don’t officially know the theme of this season, but are the beach and the waves a clue?! What about the song choice? Is Orville Peck’s sultry voice on “Dead of Night” telling us something? Wouldn’t it be cool if he showed up in season 10, as well?
Maybe they’re doing something Lovecraftian with creatures from the sea…or maybe sharks…or werewolves? Okay that last one was a stretch, but iHorror will keep you posted on details as they become available.
