Sarah Jessica Parker spent some time on Instagram on Halloween day, answering questions from fans and talking about things to come. One of those things included the rumored sequel to Hocus Pocus on Disney+.

Parker, who was only 28 years old at the time, starred in the original film alongside Bette Midler and Kathy Najimy as a trio of witch sisters burned at the stake in 1693 who are resurrected on Halloween night and set about to steal the life forces of children in order to attain immortality and beauty.

Kenny Ortega directed Hocus Pocus based on a script by Neil Cuthbert and a story by Mick Garris.

The original film has gained a cult following over the years, and has become required viewing for many for Halloween. Because of that popularity, it seems that every time one of the shows stars gives an interview this time of year, the subject of a sequel invariably comes up.

So, during Parker’s Instagram session, the question naturally came up and Hocus Pocus fans the world over stood up and paid attention to her answer.

When another user asked for a little clarification, Parker told them simply, “We await instructions.”

Having the original cast back for the sequel would certainly take it to the next level, and honestly, how could they make another film without the Sanderson Sisters?

So, now the ball is in Disney’s court and we wait to see what will happen next. We won’t get too excited until we see a cast list and a an “In Production” status on IMDb. What say you, iHorror readers? Do you want another Hocus Pocus sequel or should the story be left as it is?
