Santa is Creepy As Hell in This Christmas Horror Short

There is something inherently weird about an unstoppable magical man who sneaks into your house in the middle of the night, always unseen, who is not restricted by our natural laws. As a child, this was a delightful concept. Bright-eyed youngsters will try their best to stay awake long enough to sneak a peek at Santa in action. In the short film Santa, you might regret that decision to catch a glimpse of the merry man. Children beware, this guy really puts the Claws in Santa Claus.

In this horror short, Greek directors Dionysis & Manos Atzarakis have put a twist on that midnight Christmas Eve excitement. At just 90 seconds long, it’s quick, innovative, and effective. With no spoken dialogue, there’s a big focus on the music, cleverly done by Kleanthis Konstantinidis. The minor-key adjustment to Jingle Bells at the reveal of Santa is perfectly unnerving.

The short follows a young girl who wakes up just in time to see Santa in her living room. Unfortunately for her, he is not the sweet and jolly old man that she expected. If you want a scary surprise with your milk and cookies, you can watch the short below. For more details and information, check out their Facebook page.
