If you love horror, chances are you also love the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise, and its iconic villain Freddy Krueger. Played by Robert Englund, Freddy became a fiend on the level of classic monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Wolf Man.
While it looks like Englund has hung up the glove and striped sweater for good at this point – he recently turned 72-years-old after all – he leaves behind a legacy of great memories for horror fans everywhere. Of course, Freddy had many great co-stars.
Due to the “final girl” nature of most slasher films, Freddy’s most interesting co-stars tended to be female, headlined by Heather Langenkamp’s Nancy Thompson. Now, a photo posted by Amanda Wyss features Englund reunited with the ladies of Elm Street.
Wyss of course played Tina Gray, Freddy’s first ever onscreen murder victim. In addition to Wyss and Langenkamp, other actresses in the above reunion photo include Lisa Wilcox, Lisa Zane, Brooke Theiss, Toy Newkirk, and Tuesday Knight.
Wilcox played Alice in Nightmares 4 and 5, Zane played Freddy’s daughter Maggie in Freddy’s Dead, Theiss’ Debbie got turned into a cockroach in Nightmare 4, while Newkirk played Sheila and Knight replaced Patricia Arquette as Kristen in that film.
