For a couple months now, the horror community has been speculating on Rob Zombie’s next horror film, which he initially teased with a simple piece of promo art that revealed it will be titled 31, and will feature some sort of crazy clown. From there, he confirmed that the movie will be set on Halloween and released a few more pieces of teaser art, leaving us all hungry for more.
Today, ALL has been revealed. And it all sounds pretty damn awesome to me.
The official 31 website officially launched today, and it’s jam packed with images, video and information about the film. The most interesting thing we’ve learned from the site is that 31 will be a crowd-funded effort, and Zombie has given himself 60 days to get it fully funded.
Set donation amounts range from $15 to $10,000, allowing fans to purchase exclusive goodies, pre-order copies of the DVD, be in the film and even obtain IMDb Executive Producer credits. Yes, YOU can be in a Rob Zombie movie, for the first time ever.
As far as the plot is concerned, the website also reveals that, and Zombie says in a video on the site that 31 will be his most fan-pleasing movie to date. In other words, it’ll be everything you’d expect from a Rob Zombie movie; violent, gritty and totally badass.
