ASTRO-CREEP: 2000 LIVE (1-LP)

Astro-Creep: 2000 was the final studio album by White Zombie and is performed front-to-back here by Rob Zombie for the first time ever at the Riot Fest in September 2016. Featuring “Electric Head, Pt. 2 (The Ecstasy),” “More Human Than Human,” and “Super-Charger Heaven,” this was White Zombie’s most successful album and a fan favorite.

HELLBILLY DELUXE (1-LP)

Tying together three of his major loves: classic horror films, hard rock, and electronic music, Rob Zombie created and released his debut solo album, Hellbilly Deluxe in August 1998. Featuring his iconic hits “Dragula,” “Living Dead Girl” and “Superbeast,” Helbilly Deluxe cemented Rob Zombie as a hugely successful solo artist with over 3 million album sales and his first Top 5 album chart position in the Billboard 200.

AMERICAN MADE MUSIC TO STRIP BY (2-LP)

American Made Music to Strip By was Rob Zombie’s first remix album, released by Geffen Records in 1999. Featuring remixes of “Dragula,” “Superbeast,” “Living Dead Girl” and more, American Made Music To Strip By gave listeners a new and exciting taste of their favorite tracks from Hellbilly Deluxe.

THE SINISTER URGE (1-LP)

Focusing on his love of horror and suspense, Rob Zombie named his second album The Sinister Urge, after the 1961 film of the same name (directed by Ed Wood). Featuring his third Top 20 Mainstream Rock single “Demon Speeding” as well as metal juggernauts Ozzy Osbourne (guest vocals on “Iron Head”) and Kerry King (additional guitars on “Dead Girl Superstar”) along with a slurry of other notable guest musicians, this album has achieved platinum sales status as well garnering Rob his second Top 10 album chart in the Billboard 200.

EDUCATED HORSES (1-LP)

The acoustic experimental, glam-rock influenced Educated Horses is Rob Zombie’s third album and highest charting album since Hellbilly Deluxe at number 5 on the Billboard 200, released by Geffen Records in March 2006. This album introduced Zombie fans to John 5, Rob’s longtime guitarist, and features “Foxy Foxy,” “American Witch,” the Grammy-nominated track “The Lords of Salem” and was classified as Zombie’s most experimental album to date.

ZOMBIE LIVE (2-LP)

Rob’s first ever live album, Zombie Live was recorded over several nights during the 2006 Educated Horses Tour showcasing the raw power and chaos of Zombie’s performances with concert staples like “Living Dead Girl,” “More Human Than Human” and “Never Gonna Stop (The Red, Red Kroovy).”  The performance of “The Lords of Salem” was Grammy-nominated in 2009 for Best Hard Rock Performance.

HELLBILLY DELUXE 2 (1-LP) **Only available in the vinyl boxset**

The sequel to Rob’s first solo album, Hellbilly Deluxe 2 was Rob’s first time recording with his touring band, where all subsequent albums were recorded with a rotating list of guest musicians. Zombie’s fourth studio album to debut in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 album chart, it features some of his fastest and hardest rock songs ever bestowed upon metal heads with songs like “What?,” “Devil’s Hole Girls and The Big Revolution” and “Sick Bubblegum.”

MONDO SEX HEAD (2-LP)

Zombie continuously challenges his artforms and his second remix album delivers in spades. Curated by Electronic Dance Music expert Jason Bentley, 2012’s wave of remix artists were called upon to whip Zombie’s 20 years of classics and newest songs into uncompromising rock/dance anthems including Jonathan Davis’s (Korn) dub-step influenced remix of “Thunder Kiss ’65,” Photek’s reinvigorated take on “Living Dead Girl” and Ki: Theory’s intoxicating beats behind “Foxy, Foxy.”

VENOMOUS RAT REGENERATION VENDOR (1-LP)

Rob’s fifth straight solo album in a row to achieve a spot in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200, Venomous Rat Regeneration Vendor was a return to straight-forward, heavy rock. Critically acclaimed from start to finish, Rob turned Grand Funk Railroad’s iconic song “We’re An American Band” into his own hard rock anthem while dropping rock bombs on both veteran and new fans with “Dead City Radio and the New Gods of Supertown” and “Ging Gang Gong De Do Gong De Laga Raga.”

SPOOKSHOW INTERNATIONAL LIVE (2-LP)

Spookshow International Live is Rob Zombie’s second live album and features new live performances of 19 tracks recorded on his 2014 tour. Featuring “Dead City Radio,” “Dragula,” “Thunder Kiss ’65” and “Jesus Frankenstein,” this album is the ultimate Rob Zombie live collection.

THE ELECTRIC WARLOCK ACID WITCH SATANIC ORGY CELEBRATION DISPENSER (1-LP)

Zombie humbly described his latest studio effort as “seriously our heaviest, most fucked up musical monster to date.” Loudwire described the album as “industrial tinged metal delivered with his trademark blend of samples, shock, horror and humor.” Rob challenged radio with his kick off single “Well, Everybody’s Fucking In A U.F.O.” and knocks your senses into submission on songs like “The Age of the Consecrated Vampire We All Get High”. The sixth album in his solo career, Electric Warlock… landed Zombie his sixth consecutive Top 10 charting studio album in the Billboard 200, for those keeping count that’s six for six Top 10 studio albums in the upper echelon of the Billboard 200.

Pre-orders are expected to ship March 30. For more info head over HERE.

Brad Dourif Says He’s Retiring Except For One Important Role

Published

on

Brad Dourif has been doing movies for nearly 50 years. Now it seems he is walking away from the industry at 74 to enjoy his golden years. Except, there is a caveat.

Recently, digital entertainment publication JoBlo’s Tyler Nichols talked to some of the Chucky television series cast members. During the interview, Dourif made an announcement.

“Dourif said that he’s retired from acting,” says Nichols. “The only reason he came back for the show was because of his daughter Fiona and he considers Chucky creator Don Mancini to be family. But for non-Chucky stuff, he considers himself retired.”

Dourif has voiced the possessed doll since 1988 (minus the 2019 reboot). The original movie “Child’s Play” has become such a cult classic it’s at the top of some people’s best chillers of all time. Chucky himself is ingrained in pop culture history much like Frankenstein or Jason Voorhees.

While Dourif may be known for his famous voiceover, he is also an Oscar-nominated actor for his part in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Another famous horror role is The Gemini Killer in William Peter Blatty’s Exorcist III. And who can forget Betazoid Lon Suder in Star Trek: Voyager?

The good news is that Don Mancini is already pitching a concept for season four of Chucky which might also include a feature-length movie with a series tie-in. So, Although Dourif says he is retiring from the industry, ironically he is Chucky’s friend till the end.

7 Great ‘Scream’ Fan Films & Shorts Worth a Watch

Published

on

The Scream franchise is such an iconic series, that many budding filmmakers take inspiration from it and make their own sequels or, at least, build upon the original universe created by screenwriter Kevin Williamson. YouTube is the perfect medium to showcase these talents (and budgets) with fan-made homages with their own personal twists.

The great thing about Ghostface is that he can appear anywhere, in any town, he just needs the signature mask, knife, and unhinged motive. Thanks to Fair Use laws it’s possible to expand upon Wes Craven’s creation by simply getting a group of young adults together and killing them off one by one. Oh, and don’t forget the twist. You’ll notice that Roger Jackson’s famous Ghostface voice is uncanny valley, but you get the gist.

We have gathered five fan films/shorts related to Scream that we thought were pretty good. Although they can’t possibly match the beats of a $33 million blockbuster, they get by on what they have. But who needs money? If you’re talented and motivated anything is possible as proven by these filmmakers who are well on their way to the big leagues.

Take a look at the below films and let us know what you think. And while you’re at it, leave these young filmmakers a thumbs up, or leave them a comment to encourage them to create more films. Besides, where else are you going to see Ghostface vs. a Katana all set to a hip-hop soundtrack?

Another Creepy Spider Movie Hits Shudder This Month

Published

on

Good spider films are a theme this year. First, we had Sting and then there was Infested. The former is still in theaters and the latter is coming to Shudder starting April 26.

Infested has been getting some good reviews. People are saying that it’s not only a great creature feature but also a social commentary on racism in France.

According to IMDb: Writer/director Sébastien Vanicek was looking for ideas around the discrimination faced by black and Arab-looking people in France, and that led him to spiders, which are rarely welcome in homes; whenever they’re spotted, they’re swatted. As everyone in the story (people and spiders) is treated like vermin by society, the title came to him naturally.

Shudder has become the gold standard for streaming horror content. Since 2016, the service has been offering fans an expansive library of genre movies. in 2017, they began to stream exclusive content.

Since then Shudder has become a powerhouse in the film festival circuit, buying distribution rights to movies, or just producing some of their own. Just like Netflix, they give a film a short theatrical run before adding it to their library exclusively for subscribers.

Late Night With the Devil is a great example. It was released theatrically on March 22 and will begin streaming on the platform starting April 19.

While not getting the same buzz as Late Night, Infested is a festival favorite and many have said if you suffer from arachnophobia, you might want to take heed before watching it.

Infested

According to the synopsis, our main character, Kalib is turning 30 and dealing with some family issues. “He’s fighting with his sister over an inheritance and has cut ties with his best friend. Fascinated by exotic animals, he finds a venomous spider in a shop and brings it back to his apartment. It only takes a moment for the spider to escape and reproduce, turning the whole building into a dreadful web trap. The only option for Kaleb and his friends is to find a way out and survive.”

The film will be available to watch on Shudder starting April 26.
