A while back, we let you guys know that Rick Moranis was potentially going to return for the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids sequel. Today we have awesome news. Deadline officially reports that, Moranis is officially signed on to star along side Josh Gadd.
Rick Moranis, was a large part of 80’s kids lives. His role in Ghostbusters and Little Shop of Horrors were iconic. After his role in 97’s Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves however, he retired from acting to focus on raising his kids.
Now it is official that Moranis is indeed coming out of retirement.
The movie centers around Gad’s character who is the son of Moranis’ Wayne Szalinski. Son is aspiring to be a great scientist like his father, but accidentally shrinks the kids.
The project once thought to be headed to Disney+ is now confirmed for the big screen.
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m pretty over the moon about this news. Moranis was a big part of a lot of our lives and his return to both our generation and for a whole new generation to discover is really exciting.
