Being a huge fan of the Alien franchise, I’m excited with every little bit of news that comes pouring in about the new Alien: Isolation game. Yesterday, we got an inside look at what went into designing the “retro future” look of the upcoming Alien: Isolation game from developer Creative Assembly, who describes the game as, “This isn’t a world of holograms and touchscreens… it’s chunky analog push button technology. This is a world of CRT, not LCD.”
And judging by the look of the game and what you’ll see in the video, I think that Creative Assembly is spot on. The game looks like it belongs in the Alien universe, not too long after the events in the original Alien film. See for yourself in the video at the bottom!
“The game is set in 2137, 15 years after the events of Alien and 42 years before the events of Aliens. The game follows Amanda, who is investigating the disappearance of her mother Ellen Ripley. Amanda was transferred to the space station Sevastopol to find the flight recorder of Nostromo. However, an Alien has already infested the station.”
Alien: Isolation will be available for Xbox One, PS4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on October 7th.
