April 7 will see the return of Resident Evil’s multiplayer experience, Re:Verse. This time around the beta will be an open run, meaning we will all get a chance to check it out this time around.
The Re:Verse officially launches on May 7 alongside Resident Evil Village. This multiplayer run features fast-paced arcade style shoot-em up action. It features RE players running around levels gunning each other down, when a player fails and dies they return as one of the virus infected. These levels usually result in a lot of virus infected hunting down a human player who is quick enough to take them down. At least that was how it ran in my experience.
While Re:Verse isn’t going to change the RE blueprint anytime soon, its a fun enough add on that we look forward to digging into more when its official release hits.
Capcom’s conference slated for April still hasn’t been given an exact date but we can expect to see a lot more Resident Evil goodness. Especially, considering the fact that RE just had its 25th anniversary.
Resident Evil: Re:Verse drops on open beta to everyone beginning April 7 and will run until April 11 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC via Steam, and Xbox One.
