Radio Times reports that Netflix is in the process of agreeing to terms with series creator Charlie Brooker to produce new episodes of the dystopian TV series Black Mirror.
The first two seasons of the UK drama are already available on the streaming service, and Netflix and Brooker’s production company, House of Tomorrow, plan to make “multiple episodes” of the series. It is unclear at this time when the new episodes are expected for production and release.
Black Mirror is an anthology which shines a disturbing light on the world of technology, offering glimpses of the near future and what it may hold if we continue down our current gadget-infused path. Equal parts frightening, humorous, and affecting, the series has gained a cult following since its initial run in the UK and its 2014 Netflix debut in the U.S.
