We cover a lot of weird stories here on iHorror, but this is still a case where I think I should remind our readers that this story is about an actual thing that exists. It’s not satire, and it’s not a prank. This fall, readers everywhere will be able to purchase copy of new horror/comedy novel Kanye West: Re-Animator.
Based on the classic H.P. Lovecraft story Herbert West: Re-Animator – the inspiration for the famous film series starring Jeffrey Combs – Kanye casts the titular rapper in the role of resurrector. In the beginning, the egotistical artist sets out to use the power of his music to revive the hip hop scene, only to discover that it can reanimate actual rap legends like the Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur. He also seems to have decapitated Jay-Z at some point, judging by the cover art.
The idea comes from the mind of writer Joshua Chaplinsky, and as you might imagine, it began as a joke. Still, on September 1st, anyone curious enough to read this inexplicably existent book will be able to purchase it via Yolo House Publishers. The question now becomes thus: How long before Kanye West gets pissed about this and files a lawsuit against the author?
