Despite its popularity currently hitting a downturn, The Walking Dead still currently reigns as the highest rated scripted show on TV. Whether that will be true by 2019 is anyone’s guess though, as the numbers keep dropping faster than Negan’s victims.

Ratings woes aside, The Walking Dead remains a big deal, and its season 8 finale is sure to draw interest. This time out, AMC is also offering an extra hook for zombie fans, as TWD’s finale will be immediately followed by Fear the Walking Dead’s season 4 premiere.

Fear isn’t quite as big a hit as its progenitor, but there’s a subset of fans who actually think that Fear is the better show of the two at this point. Fear is also about to get a lot more interesting as Walking Dead character Morgan Jones is set to crossover to the spinoff.

For those desiring more than just the standard “sitting on couch and watching” experience, AMC has decided to team up with Fathom Events to afford walker stalkers the opportunity to take in the Walking Dead finale/Fear premiere double header on a big movie theater screen.

Tickets for the double header event – dubbed Survival Sunday – are on sale now at the Fathom Events website. The screening begins at 8:30pm EST on Sunday, April 15, and presents both episodes commercial free.

Those in attendance will also be treated to exclusive Walking Dead-related bonus content, and a commemorative item to mark the occasion. The event is being held at over 750 theaters nationwide, and the full list is available on Fathom’s site.
