Released in 1981, John Landis’ An American Werewolf in London is considered by many to be the ultimate werewolf horror movie, and I’m inclined to agree with that opinion. Face Off Season 2 contestant Jerry Macaluso also agrees, and he’s just whipped up a statue of the film’s wolf that we think you might need.
Macaluso, who used to run SOTA Toys, is now the president of Pop Culture Shock Collectibles, and over the weekend the company unveiled a 1:4 scale statue based on An American Werewolf in London‘s fully transformed ‘Kessler Wolf.’ It’s set for release in 2016, and pre-orders begin soon.
Measuring 21.5″ L x 10.5″ H x 9″ D, this incredible statue is limited to just 500 pieces, and will be sold through quality collectible retailers. There will also be an even more limited variant, available exclusively through Pop Culture Shock Collectibles, that will include closed/open mouth switch-out heads.
“Jerry Macaluso is a huge fan of this film and actually made some action figures back in 2004 when he owned a company called SOTA Toys,” Pop Culture Shock said in a press release. “Jerry is also a personal friend of John Landis so everything about this project is special to him , and us as a company.”
Shipping out in the 3rd quarter of 2016, the Kessler Wolf quarter scale statues go up for pre-order on August 10th at 3pm PST, and you can learn more over on Pop Culture Shock’s website.
