Football mania is in full swing as the country prepares for the Super Bowl, a game which will see last year’s champions the Seattle Seahawks defend their title against the always formidable New England Patriots. Amidst all of the controversy over deflated footballs in the playoffs and fines for players who don’t want to talk to the media, it’s easy to forget that there’s still a game to be played.
Last year, the Seahawks made the big game miserable for the Denver Broncos, being particularly rough on future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Peyton Manning. Manning’s game was truly a nightmare – so much so that one industrious YouTuber, most likely a Seahawks fan, synced up game highlights to the sounds and title cards from the Red Band trailer for last year’s Evil Dead reboot. The terrifying events of Super Bowl XLVIII match up surprisingly well to the horrifying audio of the trailer.

By next week, we’ll all know if the Seahawks were able to put together a successful sequel to Peyton’s Dead, or if Tom Brady and his Patriots mustered up enough courage to combat Seattle’s Legion of Boom defense. But for now, fans will just have to settle for watching last year’s game “high-frights.”
