The clown is up to his old tricks! Pennywise is back to torment the Losers Club and the peaceful town of Derry in new behind-the-scenes photos of IT: Chapter Two.
While we still have a year until the gang is back in theaters, these photos are painting a stellar picture to come.
Port Hope’s Memorial Park had a surprise visitor Friday. According to Northumberland News, Pennywise the Dancing Clown was probably causing trouble as he was seen sitting atop of a massive Paul Bunyan statue.
As the scene continued, the man behind the mask, Bill Skarsgard, glided down the wires, holding onto his infamous bouquet of balloons.
The recreated statue is similar to one that stands in the hometown of Stephen King (Bangor, Maine). Much of the classic horror novel is said to be inspired by King’s hometown according to CBR.
In the classic 1986 novel, Richie Tozier has a run-in with Pennywise while visiting the statue. Pennywise tries to scare Richie but fails. Determined, the dancing clown transforms himself into the massive Paul Bunyan and attacks.
