Virtual Reality gaming is becoming more and more popular, hitting the mainstream with full force and gaming developers are taking full advantage of this to bring you horrifying experiences. With Resident Evil VII being a huge hit, the Paranormal Activity series is throwing their hat into the VR ring with Paranormal Activiy: The Lost Soul which is coming to Steam Early Access on March 14 and will fully support the Occulus Rift and HTC Vive. A version for Playstation VR is also being developed, but will release later at an unknown time. The game was demoed around the US back in October to coincide with the theatrical release of Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, but very little was said about it.
Nothing is known about the plot of Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul, but the trailer that was released shows a camera pan down hallway into a large looking home, much like Resident Evil VII and PT, which seems to be what everyone is doing. Guess there’s nothing wrong with that as long as the game is good, right? So, do you think it will continue the franchise, acting as a sequel of some sort or just be its own entity (no pun intended)?
Developed by VRWerx in a collaboration with Paramount, the game was developed using the Unreal Engine.
