Olivia Munn has come a long way since her co-hosting duties on Attack of the Show. She will be shopping her sci-fi film Replay to international buyers at the upcoming virtual Cannes Film Market.
The movie will be for the Robert Zemeckis co-founded horror label Dark Castle Entertainment. That’s the company behind such remakes as House on Haunted Hill, Thirteen Ghosts and House of Wax.
Variety reports that the story follows Munn, “as the wife of a man who has been kidnapped and murdered. Armed with illegal, bleeding-edge technology and a desperate plan, she must do everything in her power to change the past and save him.”
Producer Ethan Erwin had this to say about the actress, “Audiences are going to witness the birth of the next great action star with Olivia Munn in this film.”
He added: “And our director, Jimmy Loweree, is an incredible young filmmaker whose vision for this movie is going to blow people away.”
Dark Castle has been missing from the movie market for a little while. They are currently in post-production with Seance, their first release since 2017’s Suburbicon.
Munn has steadily become one of Hollywood’s most sought after industry Millenials. Her penchant for pop culture has given her fanboy/girl clout. She’s had roles in Iron Man 2, X-Men: Apocolypse and The Predator.
But most hardcore fans remember Munn as co-host on G4’s Attack of the Show! alongside Kevin Pereira. She was a part of that program from 2006-2010.
