The hits keep coming from Netflix’s TUDUM event today with a brand new teaser for season four of Stranger Things which gives us a glimpse into the history of Robert Englund’s new character in the series.
Englund is perhaps best known for playing Freddy Kreuger in A Nightmare on Elm Street. Here, he’ll be playing Victor Creel described as “a disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s.”
The teaser shows Creel and his family moving into a gorgeous two-story home and settling in only to see things quickly take a dark turn. The younger father Victor turns suddenly to look into the camera with his family’s bodies strewn about him on the floor. We then flash forward to the Stranger Things gang entering the house.
The question is: What are they looking for?! What new possibly world-ending event has driven them into this terrifying, dilapidated old home?
Only time will tell of course, but it’s an interesting development from the happenings in season three which ended with Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) leaving the small Indiana town of Hawkins with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) in tow.
No matter what, we can’t wait for the new season in 2022!
