Of all the big blockbuster releases set to hit theaters in 2018, one of the most anticipated is Universal’s dinosaur sequel Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
While it’s become kind of trendy to bash Jurassic World in the years since its 2015 release, one shouldn’t forget just how popular it was at the time, becoming one of the highest grossing films in history.
Directed by JA Bayona, Fallen Kingdom is set to bring the adventurous and action-packed legacy of Steven Spielberg’s legendary franchise back to the big screen. Stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are both set to return as protagonists Owen and Claire.
The first trailer for Fallen Kingdom premiered back in December, and tonight’s Super Bowl festivities saw the debut of the second trailer. Check it out below, and bask in the glory of lots of dinosaur carnage and special effects wizardry.
No matter how many times we return to the Jurassic Park universe, I’m always up for the trip. The sequels might not measure up to the majesty of Spielberg’s 1993 classic, but they’re all fun in their own ways.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom roars into theaters on June 22nd. Be there or be without dinosaurs in your life, and nobody wants that.
