New images for the highly anticipated Annabelle Comes Home have been released, brought to you by EW. Though it’s not technically The Conjuring 3 – we’ve still got a bit of waiting before that happens – the movie will feature both Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as the infamous duo of Ed and Lorraine Warren.
In the film, Katie Sarife plays the role of Daniela, friend to Judy (McKenna Grace), the babysitter for The Warren’s daughter. According to writer and director Gary Dauberman:
“Daniela will do whatever she can to find out whether or not there is an afterlife. … Annabelle’s presence causes all these other things to come to life. Annabelle is the orchestrator of the madness.”
Vera Farmiga commented about her pleasure in being able to continuously reprise the role of Lorraine Warren – something that we are all very grateful for. From the same article:
“I do love playing this character, I really do … To be honest with you, in this climate of dissension and rancor and division, I love exhibiting [Ed and Lorraine’s] unity and their closeness and their togetherness. It’s something special for me.”
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson will carry on the legacy of the Warrens in Annabelle Comes Home on June 28th. The real Lorraine Warren recently passed away; you can read about her and her accomplishments here.
The Conjuring franchise is currently on a roll. While The Nun currently sits as the highest grossing film in the series, The Curse of La Llarona is currently making a killing at the box office, pulling in $62.7 million against a $9 million budget. It’s always good to see a horror franchise stand strong in the modern era. Here’s to hoping there are many more excellent films in this outstanding series.
