Evil dudes dressed as clowns go on a murder spree in Rob Zombie’s 31, which looks to be so far up the alley of Zombie’s fans that it may very well turn out to be his most crowd-pleasing horror flick since The Devil’s Rejects. The release kicks off with a special Fathom Events screening on September 1st, ahead of a VOD release on September 16th and a wider theatrical release on October 21st.
Get it? Got it? Good!
On tap today is a brand new clip from 31, which sees the character Doom Head getting ready for a night of brutal killing. The clip comes courtesy of our friends over on Dread Central, and you can – and should – watch it below!
Written and directed by Zombie, 31 follows five carnival workers who are kidnapped and held hostage in an abandoned, Hell-like compound where they are forced to participate in a violent game, the goal of which is to survive 12 hours against a gang of sadistic clowns.
“I think this is the one the Zombie-heads have been waiting for – a nonstop barrage of insane characters trapped in an intensely violent situation,” Zombie recently said. “I am thrilled to finally get this out to the fans.”
The film stars Sheri Moon Zombie, Meg Foster, Pancho Moler, Tracy Walter, Jeff Daniel Phillips, Jane Carr, Ginger Lynn, Lew Temple, Daniel Roebuck, E.G. Daily, Malcolm McDowell, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, David Ury, Judy Geeson, Torsten Voges, Richard Brake, Bari Suzuki, and Devin Sidell.
