Joe Hill is on a role with turning some of his greatest graphic novel works into TV series’. First, the vampire centered NOS4A2 and now the groundbreaking Locke and Key.

The entire trailer is beautiful and really sets the groundwork for the bigger ideas from the graphic novels. I would have said this particular series would have been unfilmable prior to watching this trailer. The graphic novels had a lot going on in their pages and I’m curious how much of that will be left out… if any. Consider me cautiously optimistic.

The synopsis goes like this:

After their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death. As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens.

I’m definitely looking forward to the first season and best of all, we don’t have long to wait. The series hits Netflix Feb. 7.
