In the Tall Grass, adapted from the novella by Stephen King and Joe Hill and directed by Vincenzo Natali (The Cube), is headed to Netflix this Fall.

The novella, the second collaboration between King and Hill, tells the story of Cal and his sister, Becky, who are driving across the country together. They hit all the tourist stops along the way including the World’s Largest Ball of Twine, but when they hear a young boy’s cries for help in a field of tall grass, they go in to help and soon find themselves unable to escape with a sinister presence closing in on them.

Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring) is set to star in the adaptation opposite Laysla de Oliveira (The Gifted) and Avery Whitted (The Vanishing of Sidney Hall) as Becky and Cal.

Harrison Gilbertson (Upgrade), Rachel Wilson (Saw 3D: The Final Chapter), and Will Buie, Jr. (Gifted) will also star in the film.

The film went into production last August, and while there is still no trailer, Netflix has shared a video taken by a fan that features one of the set pieces for the film.

In the Tall Grass is set to premiere at Fantastic Fest in September and will be available for streaming on October 4, 2019.
