Most of the series’ familiar faces will be returning for American Horror Story: Hotel, while a few big names are taking part in the show for the very first time. Replacing Jessica Lange as leading lady is none other than Lady Gaga, and today brings more exciting casting news.
TV Line reports that supermodel/actress Naomi Campbell (Boardwalk Empire) has been cast in American Horror Story: Hotel, taking part in a multi-episode arc. Campbell, who starts shooting next week, will play a fashion editor who pays the ultimate price for her critiques.
According to the site, Campbell will have scenes with both Lady Gaga and Angela Bassett. They also shared some recent comments from series creator Ryan Murphy, wherein he revealed that Hotel will be American Horror Story‘s most horrifying season to date.
“It’s… a little bloodier and grislier I think than anything that we’ve done before,” promised Murphy. “It’s straight horror this year.”
In American Horror Story: Hotel, Kathy Bates will play Iris; Sarah Paulson is Hypodermic Sally; Matt Bomer is Donovan; Angela Bassett is Ramona; and Evan Peters is Mr. March.
Finn Wittrock, Lily Rabe, Denis O’Hare, Chloe Sevigny, Max Greenfield, Cheyenne Jackson and Wes Bentley fill out the cast.
