As reported earlier this week, After Dark Films is back with another “8 Films To Die For” following a years-long hiatus and a new partnership with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.
With that announcement came the announcement of the first of the eight films, which is Re-Kill, an “epidemic horror film” written by Michael Hurst (Room 6) and directed by Valeri Milev (Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort).
The second film has now been announced as Murder in the Dark.
The synopsis is as follows:
When a group of young people camping in the ruins of a medieval Turkish town play a party game called “Murder in the Dark,” they soon discover that someone is taking the game too far…
Produced in an experimental shooting style, this murder-mystery features a cast of actors who were not allowed to see the script. The actors’ choices interactively changed the shape of the story. They had to use clues to solve the mystery laid out before them by the filmmakers.
The film is written and directed by Dagen Merrill and stars Luke Arnold, Phil Austin, Yann Bean, Samrat Chakrabarti, Kiran Deol, Eme Ikwuakor, Simone Tang, Mary Kate Wiles, and Murielle Zuker.
8 Films to Die For will be released on October 16 with a limited nationwide theatrical run.
