Since the release of Friday the 13th: The Game, you can watch gameplay all over the place. People love this game (for the most part) and even though there are some downsides, all in all this game is awesome. The graphics are great, the kills are vicious and the best part… it was all thanks to some bad ass motion capture kills by Kane Hodder.
“Who’s the best Jason?” is a long standing question, even among writers here at iHorror. Here’s the argument on Derek Mears. Me? I love Kane Hodder. I may be biased because I like Kane the person which leaks in to my love of his portrayal of Jason but I can’t help it. He genuinely loved the part and you can hear that when he talks about it.
In an interview he did with The Movie Crypt, he was devastated when he was recast for Freddy vs. Jason and was ecstatic when they asked him to be Jason for the game. While scrolling along social media one day, I came across this little gem by Game Spot.
Friday the 13th: The Game vs. IRL.

That is Kane Hodder doing motion capture for every single kill in Friday the 13th: The Game. I was giggling like a school girl while watching this. Call me a game nerd, but I love seeing what goes on behind the scenes.
Somehow the motion capture kills look almost as brutal as the kills in-game. Haven’t played Friday the 13th The Game yet? We have a review for you right here, so you know what you’re getting before you get it. Watching Kane work is a beautiful thing. Also, if you’re as much of a Kane fan as I am, check out this article about his autobiography. He has quite the scary and amazing past, involving a bad accident that nearly killed him.
