The Mortal Kombat news keeps on coming. Just yesterday we reported that James Wan wants to build a cinematic universe out of his MK film. Now, we get a second trailer for Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge. The best part is that this trailer is red band and full of brutal carnage.

The action is very in keeping with the games. Complete with fatalities, x-ray bone crushing and tons of arterial spray. If you have played the games both the world and easter eggs  all seem very familiar.

The story follows Scorpion on his journey from his days as a Hanzo to his betrayal by Subzero and then his revenge against those who did him wrong. All these things occur to lead to his transformation into Scorpion. All of this occurs against the legendary battle for earth and mankind known as Mortal Kombat.

The cast couldn’t be more true to form with Joel McHale (Community) taking on the role of Johnny Cage and Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter) taking on the role of badass Sonya Blade.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge arrives from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Digital starting April 12, and on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on April 28.
