This news sounds like some of the craziness that would come out of this whole pandemic thing, if it was part of a movie. It’s an art imitating life sorta thing and boy, its a doozie. Director, Michael Bay is moving forward with his found-footage pandemic horror film Songbird.
The film is about a mutating killer virus. It’s also the first film to go into production in the LA area while an actual pandemic rages around the California. All that sounds like the actual plot of the film but surprisingly that’s the real life part of it.
The synopsis for Songbird goes like this:
The pandemic thriller takes place two years in the future. The pandemic has not gone away. Lockdowns have been rolled back and then reinstated and it becomes even more serious as the virus mutates.
Sounds pretty on the money and pretty real life spooky. Michael Bay will produce Songbird with Adam Mason on as director. It stars tarring Demi Moore, Craig Robinson, Paul Walter Hauser, Bradley Whitford, Peter Stormare, and Jenna Ortega.
Hollywood studios have a whole list of safety precautions that have to go into play on any film production moving forward. Some of the rules strangely do not allow actors to make contact while filming.
